The Hardwick Community Fair, dubbed the "Oldest
Fair in the United States" was established in 1762.
It is currently held annually on the third full weekend (Friday and Saturday) in August.
The Hardwick Community Fair Association is a completely volunteer run organization, with 501(c)(3) status. Each year, the Fair board, with the help and feedback of many volunteers, assesses the prior year's Fair operations and considers changes to keep the annual Fair thriving.
While most of the Fair's beloved events will continue, our commitment to fiscal responsibility has led to some changes.
Most notably, in 2024, a variety of food will be served by 3 outside food vendors, including Trolley Dogs, Big T's Jerky and BBQ, and Grub Guru.
Fair volunteers will continue to offer our Pancake Breakfast, the Ice Cream Booth, cotton candy, and our merchandise booth. 100% of proceeds from these four areas return to support the Fair.
In addition, the Fair will be returning to its previous policy of not serving any alcohol during the event.
Volunteers are crucial for the yearly success of the Hardwick Fair. If you can not volunteer, please consider donating a small amount to help the fair financially.
The Hardwick Fair thanks you and appreciates your patronage to our vendors (both the new food trucks and our wonderful vendors on the common) and our volunteer booths, which along with outside donations, are the primary source of income for the operation of this event.
